The Bathroom

There were two bathrooms in this house, the little half bath has been eliminated. It used to look like this:

The half-bathroom was very close to the kitchen.  It's through the doorway on the left in this picture. These are the "Before" pictures.  There will not be any "After" pictures, as this bathroom is now gone, gone, gone!

It was a long skinny bathroom.

This bathroom was removed, and the space was incorporated into the kitchen to make the kitchen more functional.

You can see more pictures of this removal in the kitchen and demolition photos.

The Main Bathroom

Here are the "Before" pictures.  I'm actually embarassed by them.  I don't think the tenants ever cleaned!

Demolition

Everything in the bathroom was taken out: bathtub, toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet, even the ceiling tiles. A new framework for the tub surround was built, the ceiling was prepared for drywalling.

Positive Progress

A new tub and surround was installed. (Pic 1)  Drywall is installed. (pic 2) The ceiling is painted. (Pic 3)

Three weeks of progress brings us to March 3, 2021

Mar. 9  -- The walls get painted.  I chose a light gray, but it turned out darker than I wanted.  The contrast with the white ceiling is good though, and so I will leave it.  The vanity and mirror (on order) will also be gray and white, so I'm hoping for a good match with that as well.  We'll see.  The vanity and mirror will arrive around the 20th, so a couple more weeks before we'll know for sure!
